As we go into a new year, we are excited to be starting up our Friday Night Services again. Last week, we had an awesome turn out for our first time meeting again. The evening began with Chad and Michael playing a few worship songs, then we enjoyed some time in the Word of God as Michael taught from Colossians.
18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning,
the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

Over the next several weeks, we will be going through the book of Colossians, in a series entitled “Look Upward!” This book shares many similarities with Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, but whereas Ephesians is focused on the Church of Christ, Colossians draws our attention to Christ of the Church. And so, it is by examining our Christ, our Messiah, our Savior, that we will learn about His position over all creation and over our own lives, and then how to live our lives in accordance with His supremacy.
